Its taken a long time for the likes of acupuncture, massage techniques and reflexology to become accepted healing practices in the West, despite the fact that they have been implemented as treatment for pain relief, trauma, stress and illness for thousands of years in the East.

Now theres another, lesser known healing practice that is making the rounds as a viable alternative for treating everything from depression and PTSD to chronic back pain and sciatica. Mary Burmeister first introduced Jin Shin Jyutsu to the U.S. back in the 1950s when she met Jiro Murai who was an expert in this field in Japan.

Basically, this method involves lightly squeezing or pulling of each finger in order to alleviate negative and disabling emotional states such as anxiety, fear, depression, anger and sorrow which are all in the extreme form. As youll see in the video, each finger addresses a different issue. This is a great technique to use alongside other forms of healing technique and can have positive effects on both adults and children. Give this method a try and see if it benefits you.
